Alyssa Fenix (she/her/hers) is a Transition Coordinator for a school that serves students with emotional and learning disabilities. She also serves as the Gay Straight alliance advisor, as well as the Chair of the first LGBTQ staff Task force for the schools within that system. She also serves as Member at Large on the GLSEN Maryland Board. She lives in Baltimore, MD with her partner and children.

Through her interest in photography, writing, and LGBTQ activism, she seeks ways she can bridge the intergenerational gaps within the LGBTQ community as well as with it's allies. She began the "If I Knew Then..." project in January 2014 as a means to better support students in her GSA club. What she found was that it opened the door to connections between strong individuals and helped her understand the vastly diverse yet timeless experiences within the LGBTQ community. She hopes to continue collaborating with other strong voices to create change and continue to support LGBTQ individuals through visual and verbal story telling.
